3" Explosion Proof Butterfly Valve, Lug, FPM, 110 VAC, EPS Positioner

Valworx 587504 explosion proof soft seated butterfly valve is used in environments where flammable gases may be present. Lug style valve sandwich mounts between customer supplied standard ANSI/ASME Class 125/ 150 or other international standard flanges. The EPS- Electronic Positioning System provides an accurate valve positioning function whereby the movement of the actuator is controlled by a 4-20mA input control signal. Any change in the control input signal results in a corresponding and proportional change in the position of the disc. The internal microprocessor and closed loop feedback system continuously monitors and maintains accurate valve position. The valve will remain in the last known position with loss of electric power. EPS positioning module is self-calibrating and fully potted to help protect the electronics against vibration and moisture. Valve position can be monitored with the onboard analog output signal.

The valve is direct mounted to the actuator using the international standard ISO5211 mounting pad. Rugged unique integral motor/housing design provides higher torque in a very small package. Special wave line seat and disc shape, reduces the required torque and extends the life of the valve. Precision machined 316SS disc with two-piece stem (shaft) construction, enhances the flow capacity of the valve and reduces turbulence. The stem utilizes PTFE/graphite bearings with V-ring seals preventing leakage.

Explosion proof actuator certified for UL Class I Div I as well as ATEX specifications.
