A5618 Modbus Control Module for 561856C

The A5618MXX02 is a factory-installed option for Valworx 561856 110VAC positioning actuators. Installing the Modbus module will change a standard Electronic Positioning (EPS) actuator to Modbus- RTU control. Valve position is controlled on a 0- 10,000 integer scale by writing to register 0x0011. Valve position is read (or monitored) from register 0x0019, and actuator status and alarms can be read from register 0x0018. The valve remains in position upon loss of signal.

The actuator can be positioned anywhere from 0 to 90°. When used with a ball or butterfly valve the ball or disc can be positioned anywhere from fully closed to fully open. The overall accuracy of the valve assembly will vary depending on the type of valve selected and how the valve is mounted to the actuator.

Up to 127 actuators can be addressed/controlled and monitored.

The actuator can also be controlled using standard 4- 20mA analog signal with corresponding output monitoring signal. The Modbus module updates the valve position register even when under analog control.
