Valworx 548308 pneumatic/manual PVC ball valves are used for on-off control of water and other compatible media (no air or gas). Ideal where NSF certified construction is required for potable drinking water as well as other industrial applications. The de-clutch option can be used for manual operation or to set a limit stop for opening or closing. Double acting actuators use an air pressure signal (80- 120 PSI) to open and close the valve. These actuated ball valves can be mounted in any orientation. Both female NPT and IPS socket end connectors are included with each valve.
Advantages of air actuated ball valves over other type valves may include: higher flow rates, higher pressures, higher temperatures, wider media compatibility, straight through flow path and reduced water hammer.
