Valworx 541604 air actuated 3-way lead free brass ball valves are designed for use with air, water, oil, and other media compatible with the materials of construction. These T-port ball valves are typically used as a diverter valve. Ideal where lead free and NSF approved construction are required for potable drinking water as well as other industrial applications. Double acting actuators use an air pressure signal (58- 87 PSI) to change the valve to position 1 or position 2. There is no flow shutoff position with this type valve. Actuator has standard ISO/Namur interface for mounting optional direct mount solenoid valve and other accessories. These actuated ball valves can be mounted in any orientation. High temperature valve mounting kit available for extended temperature range or wall mounting applications. Suitable for steam up to 50 PSI max. with kit and vacuum service to 29 inch Hg.
Advantages of air actuated ball valves over other type valves may include: higher flow rates, higher pressures, higher temperatures, wider media compatibility, straight through flow path, reduced water hammer, and use in hazardous environments.
Ball Valve Standard FeaturesDirect mount lead free brass valve Full Port for unrestricted flow 316 stainless steel ball and stem Four ball seat design allows for full pressure at any port Energized PTFE ball seats for extended cycle life and reduced torque Leak free triple PTFE/Viton stem seal design Certified per NSF372 and NSF61 for use with potable/drinking water
Air Actuator Standard FeaturesExtended cycle life (1 million cycles) Rugged quarter turn scotch yoke design Weatherproof type IP66 & IP68 actuator Highly visible valve position indicator Dry or lubricated pilot air Factory lubricated for normal life Anodized aluminum body with polyester coated end covers ISO/Namur mounting for valve and accessories
