Valworx 524206 air actuated PVC ball valves are used for on-off control of water and other compatible media (no air or gas). Ideal where NSF certified construction is required for potable drinking water as well as other industrial applications. Spring return actuators use an air pressure signal (80-120 PSI) to open and springs to close the valve. The valve will fail closed upon loss of air signal. Actuator has standard ISO/Namur interface for mounting optional direct mount solenoid valve and other accessories. These actuated ball valves can be mounted in any orientation. Both female NPT and IPS socket end connectors are included with each valve.
Advantages of air actuated ball valves over other type valves may include: higher flow rates, higher pressures, higher temperatures, wider media compatibility, straight through flow path and reduced water hammer.
