Valworx 542312 air actuated PVC Butterfly valves are used for on-off control of water and other compatible media. Ideal where NSF certified construction is required for potable drinking water as well as other industrial applications. Double acting actuators use an air pressure signal (80-120 PSI) to open and close the valve. These actuated butterfly valves can be mounted in any orientation.
PVC butterfly valves should never be used for compressed gas applications.
Advantages of air actuated pvc butterfly valves over other type valves may include: lower weight, higher flow rates, higher pressures, higher temperatures, wider media compatibility, straight through flow path and reduced water hammer.
