10" Air Actuated PVC Butterfly Valve, Scotch Yoke - Spring Return

Valworx 542412 air actuated PVC Butterfly valves are used for on-off control of water and other compatible media. Ideal where NSF certified construction is required for potable drinking water as well as other industrial applications. Spring return actuators use an air pressure signal (80-120 PSI) to open and springs to close the valve. The valve will fail closed upon loss of air signal. Actuator has standard ISO/Namur interface for mounting optional direct mount solenoid valve and other accessories. These actuated butterfly valves can be mounted in any orientation. Refer to installation instructions on the datasheet for information about mounting orientation for dirty or abrasive media.

PVC butterfly valves should never be used for compressed gas applications.

Advantages of air actuated butterfly valves over other type valves may include: lower weight, higher flow rates, higher pressures, higher temperatures, wider media compatibility, straight through flow path and reduced water hammer.
